Lions U18's put in a master class this afternoon beating arch rivals Lakers in a dramatic game.

Lions fully deserved their 8 point win over local rivals Limerick Lakers in the North Munster league. Cian McDonnell was in outstanding form at point guard for Lions, contributing 18 points. Darryl McCormack also played a blinder, scoring a number of vital baskets. Adrian Hickey won the battle of the big forwards along with Sam Halpin, Chris Noonan.

Theo Giannopoulos and Ian Cosgrave contributed greatly to what was a hugely satisfying victory.

To beat their highly-rated local rivals shows how much the Lions have improved at this age-level and great credit is due to coaches Diarmuid O’Donovan and Bono Kavanagh.
