Lions Seniors also won this week in a hard-fought game against Newport in the Limerick senior league. Diarmuid O’Donovan and player-coach Dave Barry were in outstanding shooting form from outside while at inside forward new-comer big Cian Quilty was very effective.

In defence Patrice Desamais was powerful under the basket and Cian McDonnell ran point-guard brilliantly. Dave Barry’s team ran out 5-point winners in a very exciting encounter.
