Lions u14's 2009/10  
The Lions under-14 program has been a great success this year, with Harry Coyne and Mark Sutton having done great work in developing over 25 players in this age-group

Lions under-10’s also had a great game with Moycullen on Saturday which finished honours even. Santa took some time out from his busy schedule to visit after the game and was a big hit with all the Lions and visiting u10's from Moycullen.

Lions U12's 2009/10 Lions under-12s enjoyed a great season opener last Sunday in St Clements with a 17 to 4 win over St Josephs Blazers of Abbeyfeale in the Kerry League.
Lions U16/U18 2009/10 The Limerick Lions home is the newly built St Clements College Gym.

This state of the art facility is fantastic modern Gym that will serve us well in the coming years.

U12's In Weekend Double Win



It was a great weekend for Lions under-12s with two fine wins. On Saturday a large squad travelled to Killorglin and comfortably saw off the local side by 9 points in the Kerry plate quarter-final. On Sunday the boys put in another great performance beating St Marys by 26 points to 6 in the Kerry League.

Jack Coyne and Matt Sutton were outstanding at guard in both games as were forwards Aaron McNamara, Sean O’ Brien and Shane Flanagan....

U14 Reds and Blues Battle it out



On Friday night Lions two under-14 teams faced each other in the North Munster league.

Mark Sutton’s charges kept it competitive for most of the game with Harry Coyne’s team only pulling clear in the last quarter.

Matt Sutton, Brian Murray and Aaron McNamara played fine games for the B-team while Michael Hickey, Emmet Ryan, Cian Collins and Conor Cullen were best for the A-team.

Lions U14's Leave it too Late

Lions under-14s had a tough encounter this weekend against a very strong St Marys under-14 side.

After a slow start the Lions boys made a game of it in the second half; however they just couldn’t claw back the first half deficit and lost by 12 in the end. Aaron Madden, Luke Ryan and Diarmuid O’ Shea were best for Lions.

Limerick Lions 58,  Glenbeigh Falcons 57 A sizable crowd in St Clements were treated to an absolute humdinger of a game between Limerick Lions and Glenbeigh Falcons in an under-14 division 1 encounter. Both sides went with strong fives in the first quarter and Lions came out of the blocks flying with great baskets from Luke Ryan, Ian Coates and Diarmuid O’Shea. Lions home to St Brendans Tralee

On Sunday Lions played St Brendan’s Tralee in the Kerry League at under-14 and under-16. Lions under-14’s put in another fine performance against the table-toppers from Tralee and were just edged out by 5 points. Best for Lions were Shane McNamara, Diarmuid O’Shea and Luke Ryan with an impressive 20 points.

Lions u14's came out deserved winners in this local derby against the Celtics, even though they were a little rusty after the Christmas holidays.

With the Christmas break behind them the Lions were playing in an away match to an improving Celtics side. The starting five of Cian Collins, Conor Cullen, Diarmuid O'Shea, Shane McNamara and Michael Hickey were slow off the mark, but both sides had difficulty finding scores and were evenly matched.
