Many thanks to all who helped with bag-packing at Tesco Dooradoyle just before Christmas. Our club managed to raise a total of 1330 Euros, half of which has been donated to the Irish Cancer Society. Lions U18 Impress in National Cup

Lions interest in this year’s competition ended last weekend after a brave effort in Dublin. Having had to go to the heart of Kerry to take care of St Paul’s Killarney in an earlier round we were drawn in a tough group where we knew we would have to get past 1 of the Cork powerhouses to advance to the Qtr final. We lost to a very strong Fr Matthews team in our opening game which made it a loser go home game against Galway’s Titans. A fantastic 89 point performance which saw us record the highest score of all 36 National cup games last weekend gave us victory and saw us through to a Sunday...

Lions U18 Impressive Away Win over Lakers in Cork League

U18 Cork League: Limerick Lakers 34    Limerick Lions 61   (02/11/2013) Another great win by Lions U18 today away to Lakers in the Cork League by an impressive 61 to 34. The first half was pretty tight with the Lions up by just 5 at the half. However solid defence and clinical offence saw the Lions boys pull away in the second half to win very comfortably in the end. Luke Ryan ran the offence brilliantly from the point and contributed well also on the score-board.
