U11: 12 noon to 1.30 Sunday & 6.30 to 8pm Wednesday

U12: 12 noon to 1.30 Sunday & 6.30 to 8pm Wednesday

U14: 1.30 to 3pm Sunday & 8pm to 9.30pm Wednesday

U16: 3pm to 4.30pm Sunday & 6.30 to 8pm Thursday

U18: 4.30pm to 6pm Sunday & 8pm to 9.30 pm Thursday

Senior: 8pm to 9.30pm Monday & 7.30pm to 9pm Friday

U18 MATCH REPORT 9TH NOVEMBER

  Lions U18 V Lakers 9.11.14   The team are now two for two after defeating Limerick Lakers in St Clements today. The first quarter left us trailing by 2 points after some very poor defending and shot selection but two 3 pointers from Greg O’Callaghan and four points from Matthew Sutton kept us in touch. 11 to 13 at the end of Q1.   After some stern words from “Cranky Coach” they came out in the second quarter full of defensive effort keeping Lakers scoreless for the full 10 minutes with scores from Jack Coyne, Yugi Natsuma, Hubert Wierzba and Matthew Sutton and of course...

U14 MATCH 9TH NOV

Limerick Lions kick off their North Munster League Campaign with a convincing win! On Sunday 9th November, our U14 boys kicked off their North Munster League campaign. Their opposition was local rivals Limerick Lakers. Our five players for the first quarter were Nathan Moore, Joey Byrne, Ronan Cregan, Denis Kolomlyets and Nick Timakovs. Lions had a sluggish start to the game, but their intense defence led to some break away scores for Nathan Moore.  Ronan and Denis did great rebounding on the defensive boards. Lions U18 Opening game...

Lions U18 opening game. The U18 team had a successful start to their North Munster league campaign on Sunday 2nd with a home game against panthers from Ennis. It was a tentative start in the first quarter with Yuji Natsuma opening the scoring and Matthew Sutton following up with 6 points before Greg O’Callaghan found his range and buried 3 big shots to finish with 8 points. Hubert Wierzba opened his account also with a sublime baseline jumper. 18 to 8 at the end of the quarter. Lions U16 suffered a heavy defeat last Sunday In St Clements against a very strong Neptune side, Neptune had a very tall Squad which Lions found  very difficult to play against. Next up for lions is a tournament in Thurles on Nov 1st which the players are looking forward to bouncing back to their winning ways....

U-12 Game Report 19th Oct

Lions U/12 had a great win over Neptune last Sunday in St Clements in a great game played by both sides which went into overtime. Coach Harry Coyne got his combination of player’s right and this seemed to work well for the young Lions squad.   There were great performance from our senior players Reece Barry had a brilliant game along with AJ Walsh, Daniel McDermott and Finn Martin. The ever improving Egor Bodrov and Kaspar Wasik had a fine game on defence. Lions U14 Squad continue strong start to their Cork League Campaign Lions V Limerick Celtics The U14’s next opposition would be local rivals, Limerick Celtics. This Cork League game was played at Salesians Gym. The Lions boys were adamant to make up for the marginal loss against Fr.Matthews the week before and came out of the blocks blazing. Ronan Cregan and Nathan Moore played superbly together and ran up a lot of early scored. U-16 Game Report 1

Limerick Lions U/16 had a brilliant win over Fr Mathews in Cork last Saturday... Travelling with 8 players it was going to be a tough game to win in Cork but Lions fitness paid off in the end. Making his debut at U/16 this season was Cathal Morrissey who at 6ft 3 was a power house on the boards who along with the experienced Ian Campbell controlled our defensive boards.
